The Phoenix Suns will Win the Cham-pion-ship

Bill Walton is a total idiot and for the record, he made no sense on the pregame show proceeding the Suns/Lakers game.  Thank God, the abrasive Steven A. (A for A-hole) Smith was there to talk some sense.

Now onto business, I’ve loved the way the Suns have played over the last four of five years but with the trade for Shaq is was apparent to everyone including the Suns braintrust that “their way” wouldn’t work if we’re judging success by championships and not regular season wins.  As I heard on ESPN or Jim Rome (the radio God), all Shaq has to remember is WWWD.  “What would Wilt Do?”  Shaq may have personal problems with Kareem and Wilt but if he can follow Wilt’s path to success then he can be the difference btw getting cheated by the Refs/NBA against the Spurs as they did last year and beating the Celtics in the Finals this year.

Shaq’s Gameplan:

1. Rebound the damn ball.  Use your 400-pound frame, box out, and get offensive and defensive boards.
2. Use all 6 of your fouls.  Transform your offensive power game to a focus on defensive power and enforcing.  Don’t let Kobe, Manu, or any of the small guards get buckets without paying a small dowry to the Daddy.
3.  Be a leader.  With my PHD in sports psychology, I can tell Amare isn’t a general.  Nash leads by example but Shaq has to come in and be a vocal member of the team.  Teach them how to win in the clutch.
4. Realize that you’re the 4th option of offense but when push comes to shove, in a late game scenario you have the highest field goal percentage of anyone on your team.  So, you’re going to have to come through when they need you.

Shaq, if you follow the aforementioned, simple plan laid out for you then it will be Steve Nash instead of Kobe, in that tacky jacket celebrating a cham-pion-ship.

Food for thought…Shaq does the dishes.
