USA Softball’s 185-Game, Non-Olympic, Win Streak Snapped (that’s a mouthful)

Hottie Jennie Finch (hot for a softball player anyway) and the 4-time, Olympic defending champion, US softball team were upset in Oklahoma City by the Virginia Tech softball team.  “It was the American team’s first loss in a pre-Olympic exhibition since May 3, 1996. During that span, the U.S. team outscored opponents 1,475-24″ according to ESPN and the Associated Press.  Senior Angela Tincher of VT threw a no-hit, shutout against the best softball team in the world.  Tech won the game, 1-0.

“Letttt’s Gooo — Hooo  Kiess”  – (Sidenote: VT seriously needs to entertain other options for chants.  How hard is it for a school of around 30,000 kids to get creative and come up with something that isn’t annoying?  I guess anything will get annoying if you repeat it enough though.)

I basically told you everything you need to know about this story because lets face it, we’re talkin about softball here, but bang it here for the ESPN article.
