Righteous Kill: “Most people respect the badge. Everyone respects the gun.”

If you saw the new Batman movie than chances are high that you also saw the preview for what, in my opinion, should outsell The Dark Knight or at least garner more awards (neither of which I care about as long as these two icons share the screen for the whole movie).

In Righteous Kill, Robert De Niro (Turk) and Al Pacino (Rooster) pair up for only the second time in their storied careers.  Heat was cool, but they only had a few scenes together and the Godfather, as any red-blooded American knows, didn’t even couple the two on screen at the same time.  This movie which is set to open September 12th, also stars Donnie Wahlberg, John Leguizamo, Brian Dennehy and (sigh) Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. 

Not to get off topic but 50 cent’s music career is spudering.  The public has had it with hypocritical stances such as when he ended the poet, Ja Rule’s career for rapping/singing thug ballets and then turned around and made billions off the same idea.  Personally, I’m finished with all his raps about his whip, his chain, his glock or tech, and his “bitch” (check Itunes for 50’s “I get money” then you’ll know).  Regardless, Mr. Jackson adds credibility to a movie based in the inner city considering he was shot a thousand times, reportedly for snitching (reportedly).  Lets hope they limit his speaking parts.  Oh, Rob Drydek from Mtv’s Rob and Big is according to IMDB in the movie also. 

Anyway as Chad Dukes from thefukerton.com and the Big O and Dukes show on 106.7 WJFK, says I’m currenly throwing fist pumps and high fives in anticipation of this film.  These two MFers are legends and certified G’s so look out for them and all their bravado in Righteous Kill.  Don’t know what I’m talking about?  Trailer time!
