The Olympics Aren’t Coming, They’re Here
I don’t know much but I do know China is a triflin’ country and I wouldn’t want to live there. I don’t know who their leader is or their history. I do know what I’ve seen since I began paying attention to them in the last few months.
- They have a one child policy
- A half-billion people live on $2-a-day
- You can’t protest
- China might be banning Blacks from certain eating establishments
In American news, the USA made a statement to China and the rest of the world by anointing Lopez Lomong to be the first out for the American team waving the Old Glory. From wikipedia:
Lopez Lomong (born Lopepe Lomong, January 1, 1985 in Kimotong, Sudan) is a Sudanese-born American athlete. One of the Lost Boys of Sudan, Lomong came to the United States at age 16 and became a U.S. citizen in 2007. He is a Roman Catholic. Lomong qualified for 2008 Summer Olympics in the 1500 meters at the United States Olympic track and field trials in Eugene, Oregon. He was the flag bearer for the United States during the 2008 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony. Lomong is a member of Team Darfur, a group of athletes urging China to exert pressure on Sudan’s government to address the violent conflict in Sudan’s Darfur.
