I hate Duke so much.

I like writing for this blog so much so that right after I begin a post, I want to quit because all the ideas I had earlier about it seem to escape me; but still I soldier on because whether it’s lovin’ or hatin’ something, it’s “my duty to please that booty.”
I hate Duke. I’ve never met anyone that likes Duke besides the silver-spoon-fed Biffs that attended the school most notably known for a botched rape. If Duke basketball fans seem annoying and incendiary to me, then I can only imagine what Stephen Curry and other top players feel like getting beat by them. It must suck to be beat by players who seem from my Sony to be dicks, year in and year out.
Davidson University College is a poor man’s Duke in some ways. It’s in North Carolina, and I’m assuming they have high academic standards and low athletic standards for any of the sports that matter besides basketball. They have only white players besides a couple like Duke but they have a player, the aforementioned Stephen Curry, who leads the nation in scoring (side note: His father, Dell, attended Virginia Tech and has his jersey retired) and has opened the eyes of the basketball community every time he dances on the big stage. This isn’t supposed to be about Stephen but I will say this: he plays hard, he is always the most skilled player on the floor, he has very, very little help around him, and he still needs to develop a killer instinct.
Now back to dumping on Duke.
The Blue Devils haven’t won a title since 2001. I hate to give ‘em props but seven years without a championship is dandy for other schools, but not Duke (at least in their mind). Now, I’m going to go out on a limb here and state that Duke will never win another national title, ever. This isn’t the 50’s and affluent, scraggly, nondescript players won’t get the job done (I was going to bring race into this but as Colin Cowherd states all the time, it’s not about race but toughness and competition). Coach K’s recipe for success doesn’t work in these tough times.
If the Devils stay healthy and develop their non-tattoo sporting talent then they’ll always be close (Sweet 16, Elite 8, maybe final four), but when it comes down to brass tacks, what they’re bringing to the table will no longer get it done. That’s just what I believe.

Nice title Johnson. I have to argue your thoughts on Duke but I stand by you on your thoughts of Stephen Curry. Davidson’s other four starters as a team are abyssmal. I may be stretching this statement, but if Davidson had two players with half of Currys talent, they would guarantee a spot and a threat into the NCAA tournament. Kid’s got a sick jumper and can slash his little ass 150 lb body into the lane around, up and under, or over the large forwards and centers of any team.
When it comes to Duke, youre very opinionated. Coach K is a hero and after he leaves Duke, anyone who steps on “coach k’s” floor will pleasure the feeling this court is played by champions.
I personally am a late Duke fan. After the championship-less reign of JJ Redick, Sheldan Williams, and the later Paulus I was hooked.
I can say that even as a fair weather (February-March) basketball follower, at any point in the season I make it a point in my schedule to watch UNC Duke games.
Dont be bitter at Duke because they constantly punish all teams in the ACC besides UNC.
The only response I will dignify your comment with is that it’s not surprising you like Duke. You’re a front runner and fair weather fan who knows nothing about the teams you like besides that they win a lot. Die.
But on the contrary, it seems you know so much about a team you hate, like with all the opinionated factless fragments in the above nitwit blog you put up above. Put up some facts about the people you criticize and teams you bust, and not idiot slander.
If I am a fair weather Steeler fan, then I also wipe my ass with 100 dollar bills.
