President Obama: “Hope, Change, Yes we can!!”
The People: “Yes we can!”
The Fed: “They’re all falling for it!!”

There has been a lot of recent news coming out of the left and right about the many Tea Party Protests that took place all over America on tax day April 15th.

Liberals attacked these protests saying how stupid and hypocritical they were, that President Obama was actually decreasing taxes for most Americans.  They were quick to spout out how uneducated and out of touch the conservative movement is.  They called conservatives who were protesting hypocrites for not protesting against President Bush’s Policies.

“What the demonstrators are protesting is what they believe to be higher taxes and wasteful government spending, in particular the $787-billion stimulus plan and the $3-trillion bailouts of banks, Wall Street and the auto industry. But the not-so-comic irony here is that the Obama administration has yet to impose one single tax increase on anyone.” (Huffington Post)

Conservative pundits used it as an opportunity to slam President Obama and his policies.  They talked about how he is becoming a socialist leader.  The right wing elite claim to want lower taxes and smaller government.  These are the same people who supported President Bush blindly as he increased the size of government and our national debt dramatically.

Tonight: Look behind me. You know what that is. It’s the White House. We are live in Washington, D.C., where hours ago, tea party protesters gathered in front of the White House, fighting for lower taxes and smaller government, most of them furious at the policies of Congress and of the man who lives and works in that house, President Obama. We have complete coverage tonight.” (Fox News)

large_tea-partyThe truth is, both parties are blowing smoke up everyone’s ass.  When President Obama was running for election, he had a very smart campaign team.  They marketed him well, and had the best slogan of all time.  “Change we can believe in”,   “Yes we Can”,  “The Audactiy of Hope”.  These are all just marketing slogans designed to fool people into thinking that things will actually change.

Now many people may brush off these Tea Party Protests and try to marginalize the meaning behind them.  The media will interview the most fringe participant in order to vilify or undermine the entire group and what they are trying to represent.

The real meaning behind those protests was not about any single party.  They were not protests about Barack Obama, George Bush, or any one person.  They were a protest about the system.

It was a protest that started many months ago, and was led by Libertarian Ideology.  It was a call for things such as an end to the income tax, to end the Federal Reserve’s unconstitutional money-creating authority.  That is where the real change will come from.

I think what you’re going to see in the years to come is a fundamental grassroots uprising taking control of the government and putting it back into the hands of the people.  Even those who voted for President Obama are going to realize that he is part of the system.

Many people were fooled by the promise of change on election day.  The only thing that has changed is how the money is spent.  Bush and Obama are very different people who believe very different things.  But they both agree on one thing.  Keeping the current system in place and letting the private bank control every major decision in this country.

I think people are starting to wake up in this country.  It may take some time, but soon the people will understand that as a whole, we have the power.  And no centralized group of bankers should ever have the right to dictate the agenda of this diverse nation of great individuals.

END THE FED…

Great post. Although I think many people confuse Republicans and Conservatives as being the same thing. Many Conservatives like myself really didn’t like much of what went on during the Bush years because he isn’t conservative…he’s a Republican. He began the nationalization of the banking system in America that Obama is taking and running with and making worse by making laws that would allow the government to take over any “too big to fail” company in the future. The people protesting were protesting the GOVERNMENT…you are correct…i work in it every day. It doesn’t matter what letter is by the name they continue to weaken our country by ignoring the rules set down in the greatest document ever written. They try to do too much and do nothing well…except bankrupt us…you are right, we need to take our country back from the politicians. Keep up the good work

    Great entry, and great video.
Not much to say but touche!

And the end of the day this is exactly why ultimately i never have overly strong feelings about who is in office becuase it, for the most part, doesn’t really matter. As long as things are constructed under the umbrella of money, then it doesn’t matter who’s attached to the puppet strings.
