Dog Daze of Summer: Pooch
Since moving to Washington D.C. it’s become evident to me just how much Washingtonians love man’s best friend. According to a prominent website for which you don’t subscribe, city dogs live 3-years longer than country dogs. In addition, dog owners have lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, and are happier in general than those who don’t own dogs. But you knew that already.
In celebration of summer and the bond between dog and dog-owner, we bring you Dog Daze of Summer photos from Adams Morgan. Every couple of days we’ll bring you pictures from your nation’s capital depicting man’s best friend in their element. Earlier this week we brought you Charlie, then we featured Brooklyn and now we bring you Pooch. Pooch is a 7-year-old mutt terrier who we think has some Rhodesian Ridgeback in him. Pooch was born during hurricane Isabel.
On a sidenote: Pooch’s owner dropped some knowledge on us when he mentioned that there used to be a restaurant called, Food for Thought, which was housed right where Bistro Du Coin is now on Connecticut Ave. We’ll have to look it up. Good stuff
Admit it, you’re in love?
