Recently introduced bill HR 1207 , by Texas Congressman Ron Paul (R), is gaining momentum in the House of Representatives.  Currently it has 237 co-sponsors. The goal of the bill is to audit the Federal Reserve.

The bill —> HR 1207

Paul wants to hold the Federal Reserve, a private bank that prints money out of thin air,  accountable.  There is no agenda with this bill other than transparency and protecting the American people from a corrupt group of elite bankers that have hi-jacked our economy.

One of the best points in this video is when Paul says we vote in Congress on how to distribute an $800 Billion Dollar Stimulus, but the Fed can create 3 Trillion Dollars out of thin air and not tell anyone.

Why is there no media coverage of this?  Well, just think about who owns the media.

Keep an eye out for those in Congress who oppose this bill.  It should be a clear sign of where their loyalties fall.

In a sad piece of news on this same topic, President Obama just recently introduced an order that expands the unchecked power of the Federal Reserve.  I wonder who he’s interested in protecting?  The elite money managers or the American people?  Only time will tell.  Especially when HR 1207 makes it to his desk.  A veto would speak volumes about where his loyalties lie.

So if you have an interest in standing up for presonal freedom and liberty, call your state representative and let him know you want him to join in and co-sponsor this bill.  For info on how to reach a congressperson, click here

[Update: Here is an example of letter written to a Representative.  You could model your's after this one and send it to your Senator.  If you don't speak up now, who will?]

I actually agree with this. The Fed. Reserve has been slipping away from the grip of the Treasury Dept. and an audit would be appropriate.

This bill will prove beyond all doubt that those who support it are for the people, and those who oppose it are for the bankers. It doesn’t get any easier than that.

Congress either represents the People, or it represents the Bankers.

If this fails, we will all know who Congress works for.

I hate to be a pessimist, but I don’t believe H.R. 1207 has a chance of becoming law. There are simply too may greedy politicians, Obama included, who have everything to lose if the truth about the Federal Reserve came out.

Here’s a better idea: My husband and I just paid the $60,000 we owed in federal taxes to our home state of Wisconsin. Wisconsin accepted the checks and cashed them. We sent a letter to the IRS, informing them of our actions. So far, we haven’t heard from them. This is what we the American people should be doing right now. Go to your employer’s payroll office, fill out a new W-4 and put “Exempt” on the bottom line so that no more federal withholding is taken out. Save the amount that would normally be taken out and pay it to your state’s department of revenue. That’s right, pay your federal taxes to your state. When our clueless leaders in Washington finally see that we are not deaf and blind, they’ll get the message: they work for us, not us for them.

Face it, we can go on and keep paying our taxes and voting for candidates who will only stab us in the back after they’re sworn in. We can write to them and they’ll just send us a lame response. Or we can sucker-punch them the way they sucker-punched us over the years. By paying our federal taxes to our states, we can keep the country up and running while Washington DC has the recession…for once. It’ll be our economic stimulus our way. If you don’t like bad government, stop paying for it. Enough wringing our hands and banging our heads against the wall. Do something. Don’t wait for someone else to start a movement, YOU start it. My husband and I already have. We’re not doing it to become famous, we’re doing it because we believe it’s the right thing to do. We have two kids, we work for a living and we care about our country, just like you. Spread the word and let’s hope enough Americans can lose their fear of government and make finally make positive things happen. Shall we?
