Question of the Day
There is a lot of religious emphasis in many parts of the world including here in the U.S. During an election cycle, the question always comes up about a candidate’s religious beliefs or how those religious views shape their beliefs.
So my questions are:
1. How important is a politician’s religious affiliation to you as a voter?
2.Would you ever vote for a viable presidential candidate who is an Atheist?

I’ll be completely honest and say, I don’t care. I personally would like them to believe in some form of religion but to tell you the truth, the Catholics don’t act like Catholics, and the Baptists don’t act like Baptists. How often do we hear about politicians cheating on their significant others or embezzling money or just other bullshit that is just f*ed up? I don’t trust any politician. In my eyes, they are all naricistic and looking out only for themselves.
1) very important…not necessarily whether they have one or not, but if they do it helps paint a picture as to where you can expect them to line up on certain issues as well as their priorities and what is important to them in their lives. for me personally, it also helps me decide how smart i think they are. as an example, if someone thinks that the world is only a couple thousand years old (despite the loads of scientific evidence to the contrary), i may have difficulty believing that they are able to make sound judgements when it comes to certain issues
2) absolutely
Second question: I would vote for an atheist.
