ZornRemember back to when Joe Gibbs retired and the Skins were looking to bring in a coach with a strong football pedigree? Then, we ended up with Jim Zorn?  I look back on that time not as fondly as I once did.  Where I was one of the fans who scoffed at names like Jim Fassel now I’m wondering if he wouldn’t have been the man to take this team to the playoffs and restore a tradition of excellence, or at least competitiveness in all facets of the game.

From quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator to head coach of the Washington Redskins all in a matter of days.

0-1 is not time to cut Fred Smoot, Clinton Portis, Santana Moss, and Rock Cartwright (possibly soon though) but there is obviously something Sherman Smith, Jim Zorn, and Jason Campbell are not telling us (by the way, what does Sherman Smith even look like?). One thing is evident, Jim Zorn doesn’t believe in Jason Campbell as much as Campbell would like him to and Jim Zorn follows a script of plays NO MATTER WHAT.  Anyway . . . we’ll wait until we either lose to the Rams to run Zorn out of town or bully them 28-0 to crown Campbell our QB of the future.

Wouldn’t it be remarkable to have a guy like Rex Ryan here in Washington.  You may think his message to season ticket holders was desperate but I say he’s doing his job as the leader of that franchise.  No matter where you stand I think we can agree it’s not as desperate as a fake field goal.  Think of the scrutiny and the massacre that would have ensued had we not scored on that.
