Now Fielding Your DMV Real Estate Questions
Just what you have been waiting for! Another female contributor to this blog! And even better, I am going to answer all of life’s biggest questions. Okay, not really… but I will answer any questions you have relating to real estate, mortgages, foreclosures, etc. In the wake of this foreclosure/short-sale/get-paid-to-buy-a-house craziness known as the local real estate market, I will be providing weekly insight into the minds of buyers and sellers, and an update on the local market overall.
Having lived in Fairfax County my entire life, I know pretty much anything and everything you could want to know about real-estate this side of the Potomac. Yes, the Virginia side. (The good side. Just kidding! Well, kinda.) If it deals with Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William, Loudon County, even Stafford County and you have a question then I have an answer. I even have the license to back it up, being a Real Estate Consultant for Keller Williams Realty. (Read: Real Estate Agent, but I do more than just try to buy or sell you a house, so I consider myself your own professional ‘consultant’) I still work a good amount with DC and Maryland, so I can answer any questions you have about anything in that area, as well. Just fair warning that I largely focus on the ‘V’ in the DMV metro area. This is not my “job” – it’s my life. Well, to be fair, Real Estate is my life, plus Penn State and the Steelers.
So, please, send me your questions regarding anything real estate related. Either post it as a comment or shoot me an email. I’ll make sure to answer it right away or at least by the next post.
Here are some of the most common questions I get (and the topics of future postings, so stay tuned) :
1.) Should I rent or buy?
2.) How much money do I need to buy?
3.) Should I buy a condo or townhouse?
4.) When’s a good time to refinance?
5.) When’s the market going to come back?
Buying or selling a home can be one of the more exciting times in your life, but it usually is also the most complicated and frustrating. (And if anyone tells you otherwise, they are either lying or they are overpaid.) That’s why they have professionals (like me!) to handle the analysis and mounds of contracts. So, without further adieu, welcome to the wonderfully complex world of DC Metro Real Estate and remember, I’m here to help you find a safe place where udothedishes, live, eat, sleep, and be merry.
