Perrys Restaurant: Fully-Vested
Perrys Restaurant is the flagship eatery in Adams Morgan. Known for its decadent sushi offering, their Sunday brunch has Washingtonians lined up down Columbia Rd every weekend.

From Perrys’ homepage:
- Perry’s Drag Queen Brunch is offered every Sunday from 1030am-230pm.
- As we do not take reservations, the line forms around 10am.
- If you cannot arrive that early, we suggest coming around 12pm or 1pm.
- The cost is $22.95 – that includes that all you can eat buffet and the show.
- Most importantly, please make sure that everyone in your party is present when we call your name as we don’t seat incomplete parties, nor can we add to the table is someone joins late.
- The buffet offers a soup of the day, a variety of salads, muffins & breads, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, hash browns, waffles, sushi, several different cuts of seafood/poultry/meats, spring rolls & dumplings, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola and a variety of desserts & pastries.
Located at 1811 Columbia Road Washington, D.C. 20009, Perrys features, yes, a drag queen brunch every Sunday. Sounds odd but the line of hundreds of hungry eaters can’t be wrong. Now I cannot attest to the quality of the brunch or the quality of the queens but I can say that I’ve substantiated that the line flows down the street every Sunday so something must be worth the wait.

Perrys’ sushi is something I can attest to, too. I was there Saturday for lunch and not only was the food delicious but the atmosphere was nostaligic. Sitting in Perrys at one of their couch spots near the window illicits the emotions you want when you go to lunch in the city. In spite of the cold, wet conditions I felt as if I was in the midst of something grandiose without any pretension.

The service was friendly, the decorations were fitting, and the food was good. The food was also adequately priced but with sushi there is a line to be drawn in the sand because at some point if you’re eating $1 sushimi or maki rolls you have to challenge the quality and freshness of the fish, no? Safe to say I did not question Perrys food quality.

You should ask them to add their restaurant to The Restaurant Section at http://www.therestaurantsection.com. It is a new social media company for restaurants, restaurant patrons, and journalists and publicists.
