These days the Republican party has been vilified as the party of old angry white men with stale and outdated ideas.  They have become the party of “NO” in the media’s eyes.  Every time I turn around someone is saying how lost the Republican party is or how there is no leadership and just opposition to Democrats.  Well, for those of you who may not know, the current Republican party is not really the Republican party.  It’s the Hi-jacked GOP.  It’s an apparition of it’s former self.  They speak about small government but spend like money is printed out of thin air (Well actually the FED does create it out of thin air.)

Well, news flash, they are the stale party with no new ideas.  They have become a party with no leadership.  They are stuck in a void.  But that is because they are not really conservatives, which is what the Republican party used to be made up of.  It’s time that more people realized what being a Conservative is really all about.  The current leaders of the Republican party are easily summarized as one thing. Mostly Neo-Conservatives.  They talk about conservative principles, while doing anything it takes just to stay in office, instead of sticking to their principles.  A prime example is George W. Bush.  Listen to what he said in order to get elected.

These same talking points are spewed by so many so-called Conservatives, who in turn, vote to send troops on nation building missions, vote to increase taxes, vote to build up the military industrial complex, and vote to enforce The Patriot Act which denies people their Constitutional liberties.

Moving forward, conservatives need to embrace the real truth behind what they stand for.  They need to rally behind someone who can stand up for what they believe in, and follow through with the principles and dedication to protecting the laws and freedoms this nation was founded upon.

If you have the time and want to understand what real conservative principles are, please watch the videos below.  One is from the 2008 Presidential Campaign, the other two are from one interview on 10-14-09 on CNN.

Introduce Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex).   I don’t know anyone who can argue with what this man stands for.  Personal liberty, no nation building, humble foreign policy but a strong national defense.  He believes that for most problems, the states should decide how to treat their citizens becuase ultimately the states can be held more responsible by the people.  He does support the Federal Government’s involvement in guaranteeing individual liberties, personal freedom, and right to privacy and personal property.

And to top it all off, if you look at his voting record after 20+ years of serving our nation, he has consistently voted with his principles and his oath of office that everyone takes to serve our country. “To Uphold the values and laws of the Constitution.”  More people could stand to adopt his policy and drop the party names.

This isn’t about Republican, Democrat, or Libertarian.  It’s about being a human, who under our great nation is bound by laws that protect people’s right to be free.

Please let me know of any argument that can be made to go against his main goal.

Liberty and Justice for all.

I saw that interview on CNN, and it was pretty hilarious how blown away they were by his common sense.
